Transmission Fluid Shouldn't Be Leaking Out Of Your Car. AAMCO Central Florida.

Transmission Fluid Leak

If you see transmission fluid leaking from your car, this should definitely be addressed as soon as possible. Transmission fluid should never leak as it is in a well sealed unit. Transmission fluid appear pink or red in color and is sweet in odor. However, the fluid can appear brown or black in color which means your transmission fluid could be burnt and your transmission is possibly overheating. If this is the case, you may need to get your transmission fluid flushed and replaced. AAMCO Central Florida offer the Power Purge Transmission Flush service to completely flush your old transmission fluid out and replace it with fresh fluid.

If you notice your transmission fluid leaking, you definitely want to get it looked at since your fluid could be low and lead to transmission failure if ignored. Don’t put it off, schedule an appointment with an AAMCO Central Florida location today.

Odd Grinding Noise

If your experiencing any odd grinding noises or your car is jerking/shaking while operating, these may be signs that your gearing is in trouble. Especially in automatic transmissions, if your car feels like it is sluggish while shifting gears then this could be a sign that your transmission needs looking at.

Manual transmissions will usually have grinding noises occur after engaging the clutch then shifting. This can be a sign that the clutch needs to be replaced or adjusted as well. AAMCO Central Florida locations offer manual transmission clutch service to diagnose and evaluate any issues with your manual transmission.

If you find your car isn’t performing as well as it usually does, it’s probably time to get your car’s transmission evaluated. AAMCO Central Florida offers our Transmission Multi-Point Inspection that can find any issues with your automatic or manual transmission in your car.

Burning Odor

If you’re driving your car and smell a burning odor, this can be a concerning situation. A burning odor is usually a sign of an overheating transmission meaning the transmission fluid is overheating and burning off while the car is running. Extra friction between the gears can cause the transmission to burn off and sometimes can be an indicator of low fluid levels.

It’s important to properly diagnose the cause of the problem before just replacing or topping off the transmission fluid. If something else is wrong with your transmission then it must be addressed first in order to prevent the problem from repeating itself. Our AAMCO Central Florida Total Car Care Services will diagnose any problems with your vehicle and we only fix the repairs you NEED in your vehicle. Schedule an appointment today.
