    1. A Squealing Noise from Under the Hood

    You may be experiencing a loud squealing noise from under the hood. This is a classic sign of a worn or loose serpentine or drive belt. This belt drives a number of vital components in your engine. This includes the alternator, power steering pump, water pump, radiator fan, and air conditioning compressor. If your drive belt snaps you lose torque to all the components it runs.     2. Squealing or Loud Grinding Once You Hit Your Brakes

    High-pitched squealing, once you hit the brake pedal, is a sign that there’s friction between your brake pad indicator and the rotor.
